Your books are wrong. The question is by how much.

If your marketplace deposits were booked as revenue, your margins are fiction and you may be paying tax on income you never earned. We find it, fix it, and show you the difference — flat fee, quoted up front.

You probably recognise at least three of these

None of this means you did something stupid. It means your books were set up by someone who had never seen a settlement report — which describes most bookkeepers, because e-commerce is genuinely different from every other kind of business.

What it cost one seller: our most recent cleanup surfaced ~$63,000 of double-counted revenue that a previous bookkeeper had missed for over a year. They had been making decisions — and paying tax — on a number that was never real.

How the cleanup runs

  1. Free 48-hour diagnostic. You give read-only access to QuickBooks. We send back a written memo: what's broken, roughly what it's costing you, and how many months need rebuilding. Yours to keep whether you hire us or not.
  2. A fixed quote, before any work starts. No hourly meter running across a messy file. You know the number, and it doesn't move.
  3. We rebuild oldest month first. Bank activity recategorised, settlements split into their real components via A2X or Link My Books, duplicates purged, transfers unwound, sales tax moved to a liability account where it belongs.
  4. Every account reconciled to its statement. This is the step that separates "looks finished" from "is finished".
  5. A written summary at the end. What was wrong, what changed, and which judgment calls we made — so your tax preparer isn't guessing and neither are you.

What it costs

$450 per month of backlog

Minimum engagement $1,200. Quoted as a fixed price after the free diagnostic, so you approve the number before anything begins. A typical year of backlog takes two to four weeks, delivered in weekly batches so you watch progress instead of waiting in the dark.

Straight answers

Do I have to get on a call?

No. Everything happens in writing — the diagnostic, the quote, the progress updates, the final summary. If you prefer email to meetings, you'll like working with us. It's how we work with everyone.

What if my books are really bad?

Then the diagnostic is more useful, not less. We've rebuilt multi-year backlogs. Messy is normal; we just need the raw material — bank and card statements, settlement reports, processor exports. All downloadable.

Do you keep my books afterwards?

Only if you want us to. Plenty of clients take the cleaned file and run it themselves or hand it to their CPA. If you'd rather it stayed clean, we do monthly bookkeeping month to month, no lock-in.

Whose QuickBooks is it?

Yours. Always. We work inside your file — you own it, you see everything, and you can revoke access at any time. We never hold your books hostage on our own subscription.
