Service · Catch-up

Twelve months behind is three weeks of work, not a catastrophe.

It feels enormous because it's one big undifferentiated pile. Broken into months and worked oldest-first, it's just a process — and we've done it enough times to quote you a fixed price before we start.

How it actually happened

You skipped a month during a launch. Then Q4 arrived and skipping was the only sane choice. Then January, and the thought of opening QuickBooks got heavy enough that you didn't. Now your CPA wants numbers and there are eight, twelve, maybe twenty-four months of nothing.

This is the single most common situation in e-commerce. It is not a character flaw, and the people who fix it for a living are not surprised by it.

The part nobody tells you: a backlog gets more expensive the longer it sits, but not because of the bookkeeping. It's because you make a year of decisions — inventory buys, ad spend, pricing — on numbers you're guessing at.

What we need from you

Less than you think, and none of it is a conversation:

Everything on that list is downloadable in a few clicks. No shoeboxes, no scanning, no meetings.

How the rebuild runs

  1. Free 48-hour diagnostic. We look at the file and tell you in writing how many months need work and what's structurally wrong. You get a real answer before you spend anything.
  2. Fixed quote, approved before we start. Per month of backlog, so the total is arithmetic, not a surprise.
  3. Oldest month first, forward. Historical settlement imports let us rebuild at speed instead of keying transactions one at a time.
  4. Weekly batches delivered. You see finished months as they land, rather than waiting a month for an announcement.
  5. Handover to your tax preparer, with a note on every judgment call we made.

What it costs

$450 per month of backlog

Minimum engagement $1,200. Twelve months of a two-channel store is typically $5,400 and two to four weeks of calendar time. Higher-volume or multi-channel files are quoted after the diagnostic — always as a fixed number, never as an open-ended hourly estimate.

Timing matters. October to December is catch-up season for a reason. Clean books before January mean your return is built on facts, your deductions aren't buried in the mess, and you start the year with a monthly close instead of another year of backlog.

Straight answers

Will I have to explain everything on a call?

No. We work from the documents and ask specific questions by email when something genuinely needs your judgment — "is this $9,000 a transfer or income?" — which is usually a handful of questions across the whole project.

What if I don't have all the records?

Most of it can be re-downloaded from the bank and the platforms, even years later. Tell us what's genuinely missing and we'll tell you honestly whether it's a problem.

Can you also handle the tax filing?

We prepare the books and work alongside your CPA. For foreign-owned US LLCs we coordinate with a US-credentialed preparer so the filings — including Form 5472 — are signed by someone licensed to sign them.

Send us the damage. We'll tell you the number.
